Spell Correspondences
Color magick is super easy to really give a sense of magick. We can see how symbolism affects us and plays a role in our life.
There are different levels of this.
1, Universal - This is large-scale "universal" feel of the color. I feel this is the energy of it.
For example green = grass/trees/life/nature. Or red = love, passion.
2. Cultural- this can be on a smaller level where it comes from a specific culture but has become well known.
For example - green + red = Christmas colors. or how some cultures didn't have the color blue! -source
3. Personal - We all have a favorite color or colors. And memories that pop up thinking of a specific color
Colors can have a major effect on us. Help shift our reality, open our subconscious, trigger feelings or memories. This is the reason we use anything in ritual and spellwork.
Herbs and stones are the same way. Many of them have strong universal and cultural symbolism. Some because of how they look- like ginger looks like a little person or for what they are used for such as lavender & chamomile is very calming.
Below is a loose list of correspondences. But you should always 100% go with your own instinct. If you don't feel this color, herb, crystal matches well, or even if you just hate it, don't use it. That energy you feel makes it work.
