Daily Ritual

Many witches may struggle with how to incorporated magick, spirituality, and witchcraft into their daily life or at least outside of a specific need/ritual or Sabbats/Esbats.

The most important key is to practice mindfulness. This simply means to focus on and be aware of, be present in your practice.

This can be achieved by taking moments to think of, be reminded of, or making it apart of your daily routine.

Some simple ways to make it present in your mind is to:

  • Wear jewelry that reminds you of your craft and has meaning

  • Decorate your home with witchy items & keep out witchy books

  • Set up many small household altars or shrines around your home

  • Join online groups, forums, discords, etc...

  • Get a moon app, a meditation app, etc...

These are simple things that will remind you throughout the day to think about witchcraft or magick.

Making witchcraft a part of your daily routine:

It takes time and sometimes effort to make something a routine. You will need to first make a conscious effort to include it, but over time it will become more natural and you won't need to think about it.

  • During a shower/bath use prayers, chants, small meditation. Visualize a spiritual cleansing as well as a physical. I like to close my eyes and let the water run over me visualizing a soft gentle light washing over me entwined with the water. I chant:
    The Earth as my body
    The Air as my breath
    The Fire of my spirit
    The Water of my womb
I am cleansed, I am blessed

  • During your daily tasks such as washing your face, doing your make up, brushing your teeth-
Practice small magick/rituals for beauty, confidence, glamour, etc...

  • Daily meditation

  • Daily prayers

  • Practice kitchen witchery-
Prayers/thanks for your meals or even a cup of coffee, meditation during cleaning/dishes, spells/rituals while cooking, putting magick into all things you cook or eat.

  • Take up journaling. Writing down your thoughts, prayers, feelings. Something simple, taking just a small moment to write down your thoughts for the day. Or you can do extravagant journaling with a whole creative spin, art, etc... something like a bullet journal which is great for tracking moons, sabbats, etc... Also things like dream journals or divination.

  • Divination- doing a small reading every single day be it tarot, runes, etc... journal it if you wish.

  • A small simple ritual of just lighting candles, focus on breathing, or even full-on grounding/centering.
